Fremont, Broadway & Ortiz Sewer Main Upgrades

Please be advised that starting November 7, 2022, normal traffic patterns on Clementina Avenue from Del Monte Boulevard to the roundabout (The Mall/Calaveras Street/Heitzinger Plaza) will be impacted by a fullroad closure for approximately one to two (1-2) weeks. The full road closure of Clementina Avenue will affect thru-traffic only, but ingress and egress to adjacent businesses will remain open and free flowing. Traffic in both directions on Del Monte Boulevard will not be allowed to turn onto Clementina Avenue, but will be detoured north for access to and from “The Mall” (Tioga Avenue intersection). This temporary road closure for thru-traffic on Clementina Avenue will facilitate restoration of the existing stampedconcrete crosswalk for the Seaside County Sanitation District.”

Project Description

The project replaces and reroutes existing sewer mains within Broadway Avenue (crossing Fremont Boulevard), Alhambra Street, Del Monte Boulevard in Seaside, and Ortiz Avenue and Holly Street in Sand City.  The existing sewer mains currently do not have sufficient capacity for its flow.  The project will upsize sewer mains in Broadway from 8-inches to 10-inches, within Alhambra from 12-inches to 15-inches, within Del Monte from 12-inches to 15 inches, within Holly from 6-inches to 8-inches and the trunk main within Oritz from 21-inches to 24-inches.  The proposed sewer mains are sized to provide the capacity for future developments upstream such as the Ascent project.

Project is expected to completed December 2022
